Introducing Northern Explorer
This trip covers some of the highlights of Northern China with the distances travelled relatively small allowing you to make the most of the destinations.
Starting in Beijing, which has enough to see to be a trip itself, you move onto Datong and the fabulous Yungang Caves and Hanging Monastery. Next stop is Chengde where Imperial splendour abounds in its Summer Palace complex and surrounding temples.
Onto Shenyang to see the palace that was the headquarters of the Manchu Qing dynasty before reaching thriving Harbin with its Russian heritage.
Before returning to Beijing you have some time to relax in Dalian to enjoy its beaches and delicious seafood.
