Introducing Yunnan Explorer
South West China’s Yunnan province has long been a favourite with travellers for it’s combination of stunning sub-tropical to high mountain scenery, colourful ethnic minorities, relaxed South East Asian attitude and fantastic food.
This trip covers the highlights of Yunnan from the provincial capital of Kunming to the laid back lakeside town of Dali and the UNESCO recognised Old City of Lijiang which comes complete with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
As well as the trip described here we offer two multi-day side trips to the Tibetan mountain town of Zhongdian and, at the other end of the spectrum, Xishuangbanna in the far South of the Province. More details can be found about these in our destination guide.
