Introducing Silk Road Explorer
This extensive 2 week trip heading East along the Northern Silk Road is a classic adventure.
Starting in Beijing you will fly to Urumqi in the far West of China to begin you overland trip back to Beijing or Shanghai.
Along the way you will be stopping at oases, towns and cities that owe there existence to this legendary route from China’s far Western province via Turpan, Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, Lanzhou and the tang Dynasty capital of Xian, a city that owes much of its former wealth and cultural traditions to the Silk Route.
You will experience a fascinating variety of landscape and culture on this trip which is a must for anyone with an interest in the Orient.
