✪ China Essentials covers the traditional highlights of China. As well as Beijing, Xian and Shanghai covered in SG-01’s China Express trip you will head south to a more timeless China of Guilin and Yangshuo before heading to the bustling cities of Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

The trip starts in China’s imperial capital of the past and current capital of a very different new China, Beijing. The  Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tianmen Square, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace are all world class.

Onto Xian, the capital of Tang Dynasty China, traditional end of the famed Silk Road and famous these days as the home of the extraordinary Terra Cotta warriors.

Shanghai with it’s neon skyline and cosmopolitan bustle is next. This vast city, in many respects an expression of China’s future.

In complete contrast, Guilin and Yangshuo with their timeless classical China scenery will leave you relaxed and ready for the last part of the trip through dynamic Guangzhou before heading onto wonderfully cosmopolitan and strangely familiar Hong Kong, one of the world’s most dramatically located cities and sadly where this trip finishes.
